Committees

Chapter committees and task forces serve as a valuable resource to the Ohio ACEP Board of Directors and our Chapter. Ohio ACEP committees and task forces provide leadership on important issues, further the work of the strategic plan and assist with activities for the year. Work to be accomplished is delegated to committees in the form of objectives and the recommendations formulated by the committees are brought forth to the board for final decisions. The Chapter has progressed towards its mission over the years largely as a result of the deliberation and activity at the committee level. Current Ohio ACEP Committees are listed below.

Bylaws Committee

Committee Purpose
The Ohio ACEP Bylaws Committee is responsible for recommending amendments to the bylaws and assuring compliance with National ACEP model bylaws and state law.

Education Committee

Committee Purpose
The Ohio ACEP Education Committee is dedicated to continuing to provide high-quality CME to meet the needs of emergency physicians. The committee will explore and develop education programs in response to membership needs and evaluate current Ohio ACEP educational offerings.

Government Affairs Committee

Committee Purpose
The Ohio ACEP Government Affairs Committee is focused on advancing emergency care through legislative advocacy, health policy and regulatory issues. The committee will work to assure member interests are supported with consistent advocacy efforts before state legislate and regulatory agendas; provide leadership on Ohio ACEP’s legislative agenda; engage members in advocating for emergency medicine; promote the value of emergency medicine and educate policy makers regarding issues that affect emergency physicians, patients, and the delivery of access to emergency care.
