Johanna Newton, MD

Dr Johanna Newton is a dual board-certified physician in Emergency Medicine and Hospice & Palliative Medicine. She is currently practicing around central Indiana as a staff emergency medicine physician at Major Hospital, Johnson Memorial Health, and Witham Health Services. She also practices at IU Methodist Hospital as needed for Palliative Care. 

Dr Newton completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Indiana University. She went on to complete a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Indiana University. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University School of Medicine. 

Dr. Newton’s academic contributions include research in surrogate decision making and published in International Quarterly Community Health Education.
