Jabeen Fayyaz, MBBS, DCH, MCPS, FCPS, MHPE, PhD, CHSE
Jabeen Fayyaz,MBBS, DCH, MCPS, FCPS, MHPE, PhD (Simulation), CHSE, is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Toronto and a Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) physician at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), where she also serves as the Medical Director of the SimKIDS Simulation Program and the Teaching Scholars Program. She is the Co-Director of the PEM International Clinical Fellowship and a graduate of both the PEM and Simulation Fellowships at SickKids, affiliated with University of Toronto.
Dr. Fayyaz holds a PhD in Simulation-Based Education from MGH Institute of Health Professions (Boston), a Master’s in Health Professions Education, and is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE). Her academic work focuses on simulation-based education, clinical event debriefing, human factors, safety science, and system-based improvement in both high- and low-resource settings.
She currently serves as President-Elect of the International Pediatric Simulation Society (IPSS), Co-Chair of the IPSS–INSPIRE Pediatric Simulation Fellowship, and is on the Board of Directors for INSPIRE and the Network of Simulation in Pakistan (NSP). She also serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Healthcare Simulation (JoHS) and Panorama of Emergency Medicine (PoEM), and is Co-Lead Editor of the IPSS–Cureus Simulation Channel.
Dr. Fayyaz is a Visiting Faculty at IHHN and UCMD-UOL (Pakistan) and UAG School of Medicine International Program, Mexico, and the Simulation Lead for the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP). She holds leadership roles in SSH, AAP, GNEM, and IFEM, and is widely recognized for her global contributions to simulation-based education, faculty development, and equity-centered innovation.
