Basic Emergency Medicine Ultrasound
Ohio ACEP offers a Basic Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Course that was designed by emergency physicians to meet the specific educational needs of physicians who want to learn ultrasound technology.
Basic Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Course participants will:
- Gain a basic understanding of the physics and instrumentation of ultrasound
- Enhance their cognitive and psychomotor skills
- Learn about clinical applications of ultrasound in the ED
- Review the political issues surrounding the use of ultrasound in the ED
- Receive over eight hours of hands-on scanning with live models
- Receive copies of the course PowerPoint presentations and The Handbook of Ultrasound in Trauma and Critical Illness by Dr. Bob Jones and Michael Blaivis
- Approved for 16 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits and 16 hours of ACEP Category I CME*
