Course Details

• Obtain a targeted review of emergency department specific uses of ultrasound with lectures and skill stations focused on practical protocols
• Acquire a basic understanding of the physics and instrumentation of ultrasound
• Receive more than eight hours of hands-on scanning of live models with sonographer assistance enhancing technical proficiency and psychomotor skills
• Learn critical high-yield do's and don'ts for ultrasound in the emergency department

  


Why Attend?

This course is designed to provide extensive training in the basic uses of ultrasound as an adjunct to patient care in a busy emergency department. More than eight hours of hands-on scanning practice are incorporated into this two-day course developed and taught by nationally known leaders in the area of ultrasound. One-on-one instruction with numerous facilitators has led past participants to report a 85% - 100% improvement in their scanning skills.
