K Kay Moody, DO, MPH

K Kay MoodyDr. K Kay Moody attended the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale where she received both her DO and MPH. She completed her Emergency Medicine residency at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.

Dr. Moody was appointed to the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) Emergency Medicine Practice Committee in 2014. In 2015, she was appointed to the Federal Government Affairs Committee, a national committee of the ACEP. In 2016, she was appointed to ACEP Well Being Committee. She currently serves as the President of the Tennessee ACEP. Dr. Moody also served as the Emergency Department Medical Director and Chair at Norton Community Hospital and at Indian Path Medical Center.

She has spoken during The 2016 ACEP  Wellness Section and is scheduled to present Physician Wellness lectures at TNACEP Scientific Assembly Feb 2017, at ACOFP (and the Osteopathic Family Medicine Conference) March 2017, at Ohio ACEP Scientific Assembly May 2017, and at Essentials of EM May 2017.

Dr. Moody started a social media group, EMDOCS, to share the joys and challenges of Emergency Medicine that currently has approximately 10,000 emergency physician members supporting one another. She writes a column in ACEPNow and is the founder of Physician Wellness (www.PhysicianWellnessStore.com), an organization that aims to prevent physician burn out by encouraging sustainable professional satisfaction.
