Dr. John Lyman is currently an Associate Clinical Professor at the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University.

He has also served on a number of health-related boards including the Alabama ACEP Board of Directors and the Professional Aeromedical Transport Association. In addition, Dr. Lyman has served as Chair of the Emergency Department Practice Management Association, is currently Vice President of the Montgomery County Medical Society, and is Vice Chair of the Wright State University Foundation.

Dr. Lyman has been active with Ohio ACEP for a number of years, including service as a Councillor, member of the Board of Directors, and current President of Ohio ACEP. He has also been actively involved with Ohio ACEP’s Membership and Leadership Development Committee.

Dr. Lyman excels at working collaboratively, appreciates the role of political advocacy, and understands the principles of medical society governance. He has experience in a variety of emergency medicine settings, including academic, clinical, and administrative arenas. He is running for reelection as a Councillor because he believes this varied experience is an asset to effectively representing the professional diversity of Ohio’s emergency medicine community, and he hopes to continue his service to Ohio ACEP’s membership.
