Ohio ACEP Councillor Candidate

Catherine A. Marco, MD, FACEP—Incumbent

Beavercreek, Ohio

Dr. Catherine Marco currently serves as Professor of Emergency Medicine at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio and is an attending physician at Miami Valley Hospital.

Dr. Marco has been active with ACEP at the national level, including service on the Educational Programs Committee, Academic Affairs Committee, Council Reference Committees, and the Ethics Committee, on which she has served since 1997 and chaired from 2011-2013. She also sits on the Board of Directors for the American Board of Emergency Medicine. 

Since 2004, Dr. Marco has represented Ohio as a Councillor. In addition to her service on Council, she sat on the Ohio ACEP Board of Directors from 2001-2012 and was Chapter President in 2006 and 2007. She has been involved in many of Ohio ACEP’s priority advocacy issues and is former Chair of the Government Affairs Committee.

Dr. Marco has been active in the education, research, and writing arenas and has published numerous research manuscripts and book chapters on medical ethics, resuscitation, airway, and pain management.

Dr. Marco is running for reelection because she believes her extensive experience with ACEP at both the national and state level makes her well-suited to represent the interests of Ohio’s emergency physicians on Council resolutions and for ACEP elections.
