Ohio ACEP Councillor Candidate

Saurin Bhatt, MD, MBA, FACEP—Incumbent

Shaker Heights, Ohio

Dr. Saurin Bhatt is a practicing physician at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Emergency Services Institute. He is actively involved in emergency medicine education, having served as an instructor/examiner for the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, as faculty at the Lerner College of Medicine’s Physical Diagnosis class, and as an instructor for Ohio ACEP’s Oral Board Review Course.

Dr. Bhatt has worked closely with the Ohio Chapter since 2012 and is a graduate of Ohio ACEP’s 2012-2013 Leadership Development Academy. Through his involvement with Chapter education endeavors, board meetings, National Council meetings, and planning for Ohio ACEP’s annual residents’ assembly and career fair, he has come to appreciate the issues and concerns that affect Ohio ACEP membership.

As a practicing physician in an urban, academic hospital, Dr. Bhatt has ongoing interactions with young Chapter membership, and he hopes to continue representing their concerns at the state level and as a Councillor representing Ohio at the national level.

Dr. Bhatt is running for reelection as Councillor because he believes his experience on Council has provided him with an excellent understanding of the processes involved, and he hopes to build upon that experience for the benefit of the Chapter and its membership.
