Conference Registration Now Open
(January 11, 2016) Paul Grundy, MD, the nation’s leading advocate for health care delivery and payment reform through the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model, will keynote the 2016 Ohio Osteopathic Symposium, a 4-½ day continuing medical education conference in Columbus.
As the “Godfather of PCMH,” Grundy has championed efforts to shift health care delivery towards consumer-focused, primary-care based systems. His passion and advocacy are credited for advancing the concept, which has been shown to improve quality and lower the cost of care.
Grundy’s work has been reported widely in The New York Times, BusinessWeek, Forbes, New England Journal of Medicine and newspapers, radio and television around the country. He is invited frequently as a thought leader to conferences such as TED, NHS Confederation, and Foundation for Healthcare Transformation.
In addition to serving as founding president of the Patient Centered Primary Care Collaborative, he serves on the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) board of directors and is a member of the Institute of Medicine.
His keynote presentation, The Patient Centered Medical Home: The Foundation of Transformation, is Saturday, April 23, 11:00 am-12:00 pm, at the Columbus Hilton at Easton Town Center.
The Ohio Osteopathic Symposium, jointly sponsored by the Ohio Osteopathic Association and Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, runs April 21-24. To register, go to www.ooanet.org/cme.
